Defensive Pistol III is an 8 hour course designed to introduce you to survival firearms tactics. Our experienced instructors will be working with you in the classroom and on the range. We will be covering all advanced tactics discussed in Defensive Pistol I & II, but put in the context of disadvantage due to position or injury. Not only does our staff have easy to learn tactics to show you, they will do it in a safe environment.

- Engaging from positions of disadvantage
- Support side only weapons handling (should your shooting hand be injured)
- Weapons Retention
- Disarming
- Cover & Concealment
- Fighting to Cover
Equipment List:
- Pistol or Revolver
- 3 magazines or speed loaders
- A Sturdy strong side holster (must be able to work with one hand)
- A sturdy Belt
- Some form of concealment garment
- Magazine pouch (a dual mag pouch is recommended but not required)
- Minimum 500 rounds of approved pistol ammo
- Eye & Ear protection
- Legal Pistol Permit from any state or LEO Credentials.
- Pen & Paper
- A baseball hat is recommended to keep brass from hitting your face, but not required.
To take this course, the shooter must have completed Defensive Pistol I & II.
Shooters will be expected to be proficient with the operation of their firearm, reloading techniques, malfunction drills & shooting positions. If you have not taken Defensive Pistol I & II, but feel you are prepared to take Defensive Pistol III based on prior training, please contact David Salthouse at
