Kids Firearm Safety Course

If you would like to know when the date is for the next scheduled class please go to our Classes Calendar. We try and give this class every quarter (3 to 4 times a year)

A community orientated program, offered at no cost. Program is geared specifically to those children who may, as a result of gun ownership by parents or other reasons, may come into contact or proximity to firearms. The course is designed to take the “magic and mystery” out of firearms, to teach the attending child a healthy and safe respect for firearms, and with the parent/guardian’s approval – allow the child to shoot under the watchful eye of a 1 on 1 instructor.

This course is FREE for children from the ages of 5 to 14 years old. A parent/guardian must attend (we would like to have the entire family participate)

If your child is 14 to 17 years of age we recommend that they take the NRA Basic Pistol Safety course as a discounted price of $50 (a parent must attend).

If you have firearms in the house it is a good idea to have your children understand that firearms are not toys and they should be respected.

They will learn:

• All safety rules
• Why firearms are not toys and if they find one, they must STOP - DON'T TOUCH - TELL AN ADULT!
• How to physically handle firearms safely and how to shoot a single shot .22lr rifles donated to us by Savage Arms.
